Ex d Junction Box
“Flame-proof Ex d” represents an explosion protection method implemented in installations to secure components that could potentially trigger an explosion in a hazardous environment. It involves housing such components within an enclosure designed to endure the pressure resulting from an explosion within an explosive mixture and, crucially, to prevent the propagation of the explosion to the external surroundings. This enclosure is structurally robust enough to withstand internal explosions and contains potential ignition sources such as sparks and limited hot spots.
